If you first saw 1984's "Ghostbusters" as a kid, you most likely latched on to a few particular elements of the movie: the wisecracking protagonists, the otherworldly story, and the funny-looking ghosts. Needless to say, there were almost definitely a lot of jokes and story beats that went over your head.
